Review of Lockdown

Fifteen-year-old Reese narrates his experiences and innermost thoughts while he is locked up in a juvenile detention center. Just as in Myers’s Monster, the reader is privy to the fears, regrets, longings, and anger of this very sympathetic character. This is the first WDM book I’ve read that included an “f-bomb”. Other than that, I would recommend this hopeful and redemptive story for middle school students.
